What a book! Beautifully written and great characters. Finally another good book, another marvelous plot even if it breaks your heart. Because this is what you want to read. I am already scared to wait for the finish of the series… and i just finished book 1

A whole new world and i love it

This is proof of how a truly very, very good book and a great story can be ruined by a bad narrator. In this case, a female narrator. I find it really strange that she mimics the male voice with such odd tones and that she also narrates the male parts. I’ve read the book and think it’s wonderful, but I’m giving the audiobook one star.

Really disappointed in the live story after all the hype online. The yearning feels really childish and I just couldn’t get into it. Also everything from the narration to the word choice and setting just felt too American. Made it hard to feel like I was in a fantasy world. Sadly I didn’t like this book and can’t recommend.

such a good book,spicy but not too spicy, loved every bit of it. I loved Charakters both Liam and Diana, and loved that Liam charished her as a Person who needed to be cared for. Also liked admission of Depression from Liam and the help he so eagerly received from Diana. The book is adventureus and full of twists that keept me on the edge the entire time.

Ich mag alles, das mal "anders" ist und einen anderen Ansatz ist. Dass Sie das "Bad Girl" ist und nicht er der "Bad Guy" macht es zu etwas besonderem. Die Dynamik und die Emotionen zwischen den Charakteren ist so schön spürbar und die Kluft dazwischen, wie die "2 sehr mächtigen Männern" in Dianas Leben mit ihrer vermeintlichen Überlegenheit umgehen ist so spanningsgeladen.
Einziger Schwachpunkt für mich - vielleicht auch dem Hörbuchmedium verschuldet - war aber und an die "Orientierung behalten". Es wird nicht nur die Erzählperspektive gewechselt, sondern auch viel zwischen Rückblickenden Erinnerungen, Visionen und Träumen gesprungen. Da wusste ich manchmal gar nicht mehr, wo ich mich eigentlich befand. Nichtsdestotrotz tolles Buch und ich werde sofort mit Band 2 weitermachen.

So, I’d heard a lot about this book beforehand and it still managed to surprise me! I hesitated a bit because the cover threw me off, it looks a bit morbid, doesn’t it?!
The story is unique and sticks out in the romantasy jungle. It gave me a bit of “Avengers: Endgame” vibes!
I liked that we don’t have the basic young inexperienced soft girl and mighty, grumpy centuries older man trope - Diana is a total old-ass badass and okay, we still got an old, mighty, broody MMC - but that’s totally fine for me. The story was a teeny-tiny bit confusing at times, but well paced and the relationship developed organically and sloooow, which is so important, in my opinion. I loved the names of the characters as well! In theory it had everything I could wish for but it didn’t completely click for me. Still liked it a lot! The problem might have been, that I started with the dramatized adaptation and of course it throws you a bit off, switching after half the book.

What a waste of time. I just was not into this Fantasy World Full of abusive and toxic relationships. The developed relationship, enemies to lover, was literally spicy but didn’t feel plausible or natural. Really not worth the hype
