Ich habe das Hörbuch sehr genossen. Die Sprecherin hat die unterschiedlichen Charaktere wunderbar zum Leben erweckt! Die Geschichte war sehr spannend und ich freue mich schon auf die baldige Vertonung des 2. Band, wobei ich vorher schon das Buch lesen werde. Ich bin einfach zu neugierig wie es weitergehen wird!

Even after reading the story I was more than captured. One of the best debuts out there and it doesn’t disappoint one bit throughout the series! 🥰

The book is ok, the plot and premice are pretty good, politics as well, but DAMN!!! Diem is one annoying girl! I believe her character is intentional so she grows in the next books, but if I would have only eyeball read this book, I would have DNFed. So thank god for audiobooks!

Finally, a book that truly captivated me.

The story progresses at a pleasant pace, the construction of the multi-layered world is interestingly described, the enemies-to-lovers story is sexy but not vulgar or overly "sexualized" and the female protagonist is strong and intelligent yet shows flaws, which makes her all the more likable to the reader. Additionally, the supporting characters are very charmingly portrayed, each in their own way.

I hope the next books in this series will maintain these qualities. High praise to the author and I look forward to the sequels.
