I loved every word of this story. It was the best mix of autumnal-crime-witchyness I’ve ever read so far. I wished I could live in Evenfall. The readers voice brought all figures wonderfully to life. I enjoyed every second of listing.

I have seen the book described as a cross-over of Gilmore Girls and Practical Magic, and those were likely indeed major inspirations for this little crime story set in a small town. An easy listen/read with likable characters and and interesting but also touching story. I can only recommend it.

Sehr schön gelesen und die Charaktere sind unheimlich charmant.
Anders als in vielen "Cosy-Crime"-Erzählungen gibt es hier keinen aalglatten männlichen Charakter der die Protagonistin retten will. Stattfessen wird ihre liebevolle Beziehung zur verschrobenen Familie, die Verarbeitung eines Verlust und die Magie wunderschön beschrieben, während sie in alte Geschichten ihrer Nachbarschaft eintaucht um einen Mord zu lösen.
