I really liked this book and I loved the way it was presented. Think I would have enjoyed it even more during the summer, but overall a really cozy story with a somewhat predictable ending but I anticipated and loved it for that

The book reads almost like it was written to be put on screen, and I guess it will be a successful RomCom. I'm not a fan of romance novels myself, and while this one breaks many cliches, it's still a romance in the end.

A slightly less traditional romance novel

Super süße und stw. auch witzige Geschichte mit Kleinstadtvibes, die zum Träumen, Entspannen und Runterkommen einlädt. Hier hat jedes wirklich wohl-überlegtes Element der Geschichte seinen eigenen Platz und bekommt auch seinen komplett eigenen Raum. Alles hat seine Zeit (und bekommt diese auch!) - es ist nicht gerade ein langsames Pacing aber man wird auch nicht von Ereignissen überladen. Alles braucht solange, wie es eben braucht und bekommt auch den benötigten Raum dafür. Gerne mehr von solchen (Hör-)Büchern!
Auch die Sprecherin liest alles sehr authentisch und die Gefühle der Charaktere kamen definitiv bei mir an. Wirklich wohl verdiente 5 Sterne!

Just finished the audiobook; I truly enjoyed this book. 10/10 would recommend this to anyone who’s looking to read (or listen) to a great love story with amazing banter between the characters.

I'm not one for romance novels. Mostly I read (and listen to) fantasy novels by Sanderson and the like. But. Sometimes one finds me and makes me question the statement above. This was one of them. It's not a perfect book. But I started reading it yesterday late in the evening and finished today late afternoon because I couldn't put it down other than to sleep and to do grocery shopping. Such an easy read. I even sat on the edge of my sofa this morning dressed, shoes on, bag over my shoulder, listening to "just 5 more minutes" for two hours or so. Since I was a teen I space out when a book grips me for whatever reason, finishing it in the fastest time possible, craving more of the feeling it gave me. This was that.
I"m sure it won't be the same for everyone but what I'll say is that it's worth a shot if the premise and the narrator sound okay to you.
Speaking of which, the narrator was quite good I thought. Enhancing the story. Definitely will check out more of her. And I'd for sure read a part two of this story. Will check out if there is one or what other books the author has and probably start it today.
Who knows, maybe I'm in my "romance novel era".

The romance was developed beautifully, the banter was funny and even the steamy scenes were good.

Just finished the audiobook a minute ago and I think I have been crying constantly the past hour.
This book is the best of this year yet. This wasn't just a romance novel, it was about family, about loss, about being an outsider, trying to take care of others and forgetting yourself over it
At the same time it was so so hilarious! It made fun of all the common romance tropes and clichees, while celebrating them
I loved this book, it felt heavy like a boulder and light as a feather all at once
I liked Beach Read and People you met on vacation, but nowhere near to this

I loved everything about it! I loved how meta it was: an author writing a romance book about editing a book about the protagonist while also crirically discussing romance book Novels. I also loved how she treasured writing, reading and words in general.
The Story had, of course, its tropes - but sometimes I feared some really bad plot tropes and although Henry touched them, she used them in a different, better way.

i also love how the Characters deal with their struggle, their trauma and i was so enormously happy when, in the end, Nora booked a meeting with a therapist. as someone who struggles with Depression, I always hate the Impression of romance books that the right guy Kisses you and boom, everythings fine. also, she made consent and good communication fucking sexy, instead of romanticizing toxic masculinity

Julia Whelan is absolutely fantastic. Loved everything about how she reads, she is a fantastic voice actor. Someone give her a raise please!!!
