Part I: The Eye in the Pyramid is performed by the incomparable Ken Campbell and Chris Fairbank. In 1976, Ken Campbell adapted Illuminatus! for the stage, creating a 10-hour epic that went on to open the Royal National Theatre in London under the patronage of Queen Elizabeth II.

Ein völlig verrücktes Buch, als Hörbuch fast wie ein Hörspiel sehr spannend inszeniert. Meiner Meinung nach sehr unterhaltsam!

The quality of the writing is undisputed, but i can not agree with the quality of production.

Terrible recording quality (eating the microphone, hally room), pretty bad mastering (volume deltas), overdone pathos, lots of very noticeable cutting, ... Nope.

Kein Gefühl, nur maximaler Dialektinput. Ätzend. Megafehlkauf. Da kommt auch die eigentlich interessante Idee nicht gegen an.

… that is the story is. After the COVID fiascoes, we appreciate stories about biological warfare (which was not subject of special international treaties unlike Atomic or Chemical weapons, so ABC is just AC). We appreciate complicated stories about mad conspiracy theories.

The performance is horrible though, oily, false pathos, unsupportable. I deleted the recording.
