A captivating story of a derooted and deranged man.
The performance of the reader was annoying me at first, but then I started enjoying it as it perfectly fits the roughness of the story.

Great book! Very raw and authentic yet still very funny.

The writing style and dialogue is “full of juice” as Bukowski would say himself.
Christian Baskous as the audiobook narrator steals the show.

Although it definitely isn’t politically correct in the slightest, that is also what I found so funny about it.

Definitely going to read more Charles Bukowski!

Trashy, raw, crude and not of literary value - a disappointing and disgusting work that I can highly recommend you not waste your time with.

The writing (to me at least) is style over substance. There is hardly any story, hardly any character development and the end just plain boring.
The reader is speaking like he's just gotten fired and doesn't give a shit. Maybe it's supposed to be read that way, I don't know. I do know that I didn't like it.
Some memorable quotes though - that's why I gave three stars instead of two.
