Warning: This book might hurt
Using theological (i.e. quoting the scripts) and historical (i.e. using independent sources and skeptical inquiry) arguments Prof. Ehrman shows how the dogmas of the church developed during the first three centuries of the common era. If you are a follower of any creed you will - after listening to this 24 lectures - toss your membership card into the dustbin. Deism is still possible. The art of performance is the weak point of this audiobook. Prof. Ehrman sounds more like a politician on the stomp than an academic lecturer. And imagine listening to a politician for 12 hours!

Very well reasoned and convincing
In this series the author informs us on his ideas on the life and origins of Jesus' godhood, keeping strictly to the historical side with clear distinctions to the theological side. I mostly bought this series because of some attacks on the author that I had read, but found this series very well argued.

Revealing
Very interesting insight to the early history of the Christian religion. Thought does not invalidate anybody’s believes, it really sets a solid ground for reflection.

Paradigm Shift..
Vorher war ich der Überzeugung, wenn irgendeine Religion wahr sein sollte, dann das Christentum..
Jetzt hab ich massiv Zeit gespart, weil ich mich mit dem Rotz nicht mehr beschäftigen muss. Nach "keine Posaunen vor Jericho" ist das Alte Testament auch aus dem Fenster.
