Insightful, compact and exciting
Knowing this important subject from the expert in the field is always interesting. What made me keep excited to finish this book, beside the subject, was the languange that used by Professor Wysession; it's like story telling, but aboit the real things in the real world added with interesting data and facts.

Good overview on subject of energy
Gives a good account of how much energy we consume, where does it come from, what are the options for the future and global economy concerning energy. This understanding is pretty much the need of the hour for us in order to meet the challenges of climate change.
A praise for a fact finding book like this sounds a bit hollow in the times of an US-president whose decisions are based on I don´t know what but a least not on facts. But still the book is simple good, giving a historic overview of the different energy sources, explaining the physical and technical fundamentals and discussing without bias the pros and cons. Prof. Wysession also gives lots of examples (good and poor) from without the US. It´s up to you to build an informed opinion.
