So everybody just got a strength upgrade except the person who should be ruling the town by now.
This seems to me like the recurring problem where authors make their characters too strong and then overcorrect in the other direction.
I was looking forward to the continuation of the last book and not a repeat of the same problems the protagpnist had in the last 2 books.
