An unstoppable killing machine is unleashed to do . . . whatever she wants in this fast-paced, action-packed spin-off of the Faceless Minion series.

She's unlike any one or any thing else: a Non-Standard Leashed-Intelligence Cybernetic Enforcer aka NSLICE-00P. The first of her kind, she's let loose into a universe of superheroes on behalf of her sinister masters to destroy all who oppose them.

And everything's going according to plan—until NSLICE-00P gets hacked and sent into the past to kill her own creator before he creates her. Obeying orders as always, she wastes the poor guy. Unfortunately, there are consequences to initiating a reality-breaking time paradox. The most significant: total ejection from that reality.

Now the cyborg finds herself in a world of skills and levels, with the distinct advantage of possessing a dungeon core. She'll have to make her way without orders, programming, or limitations. NSLICE-00P suddenly has a whole new life ahead of her. If only she can keep herself from blowing things up at the drop of a hat, she'll be just fine . . .

The first volume of the hit LitRPG fantasy series—with more than two million views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

World and Speaker were great. No complaints there.

I plan to buy the next audiobook, but I have some pet peeves:

Regarding Characters:
- I enjoyed most of them, including the protagonist.
- Couldn't warm up to Rattington's character, which made the first few chapters a bit of a drag. I suspect it's personal preference though, because he seems to be more of a comic-relief - a concept, I despise 90% of the time. Here's to hope, that his personality develops in future installations.
- Our protagonists pattern of speech makes sense and probably is really good in written format, but occasionally leads to conversations feeling dragged out. (e.g. saying "Affirmative" instead of a "yes" all the time etc.) At the same time, I would not know how to fix it, without losing something, that seems like an important part of the character, so I'm on the fence on this one.

Regarding Story
- I like the constellation of characters and how they progress, especially the protagonist plus the two young characters that we get to know after a while.
- Seeing the monsters/opponents, but also the skill- and level system of that world interact with our protagonists high-tech nature was very interesting.
- Again, this might be more of an audiobook problem: Some chapters are just reading out the skills and their descriptions for what felt like 10 to 15 minutes. Not inherently a problem, especially not in a written format and with some of the personality in the descriptions. But in this audiobook, it still felt like the talented speaker was forced to read a 20 pages from a dictionary to me. Many skills were repeatedly described in full detail. I don't mind a useful reminder, but that was too much for me so I had to skip 10 minutes or so of descriptions from time to time.

Looking forward to the next one.

Enjoyable

The story is pretty good and the characters are mostly well presented as well, but come on, some of the status screen chapters are longer than a half-an-hour and considering how there is only ever more stuff added to it I expect the status screen will approach an hour long at the end of book 2.
It's just completely incomprehensible to me how that shit is still being done in the exact same way in book 2 as well...

Status Screens are appearing in my nightmares...

First things first: This is a fun and delighting story.
If I had to find a bad thing about it, it's that the stat block gets repeated a bit too often and gets rather long.
Besides that, you have calculating and rational MC, who is a cyborg who gains dungeon core abilities when arriving in a typical fantasy word. The contrast between her logical and high-tech way of speaking and the naive thought patterns of the monsters and humans in this world are a source of pure delight.

A fun twist on the progression RPG idea

Great Narrator, i truly enjoy her style and voice.
Story is exactly what i have been looking for.

Also, great Female Heroine and side Characters for once.

The characters in general are pleasantly capably conceptualised.

Maybe not too original, but it doesn't need to be, which is proven here.

The MC is utterly broken but lacks her humanity as trade off.
Which I am absolutely ok with.
after all, I am a sucker for extreme matchups, magic and sci fi, what a goody.

Sadly whole chapters are wasted on reading out
Character sheets. Just why? Is it so hard to abbreviate?!

Grate stuff! But Is it so hard to abbreviate?!

Punkt 1: Story Kretick
