It is well written, with a lot of pop-culture references, but never too much.
What elevates this audiobook above a regular good book is the magnificent performance of Reba Buhr, who gives incredible life to the characters. So far I haven't heard a better English speaking reader ever.
Consider listening to the adventures of Amarylis, Broccoli and Arwen...it won't make your life better, but it will give you just a bit better feeling for a few hours.

The story is cute, wholesome and cozy. It's something to relax to with a hot chocolate. Soothes the soul!

The story is sweet and easy. A lot of the cliche existentialism from litRPG is avoided by having a positive main character that just takes everything in strides.
The narration is great, though I am not sure if using a french accent for frog-people could be considered offensive :D

ravensdagger gave a wonderful mainchar. a world and a personality, where you can only smile, its not a comic,but its for sure no drama. its a good litrpg, one of the best. my wife and i own the books, and the audiobooks, have listened to the first a couple times now, it makes you smile, it has heart.. and is not a romance, its just a very kind bun.
since i write this after the 2nd came out, let me tell you, get both, many books get much less good with the 2nd, this one is different, it gets better, i avoid all sorts of spoilers, its a must hear/read, any spoiler would dishonour the whole process of getting to know the Bun.
