Captured, imprisoned, and...falling in love?

Arik is many things. Shaman, necromancer, a little on the snarky side...no one could ever accuse him of being boring. But one thing he never intended to be was imprisoned by angry werewolves. Maybe casting that love spell on the sexy alpha pack leader wasn't such a great idea after all.

Matthew Armitage has a problem. Several of them, actually. And the biggest one is Arik. The shaman can't be trusted. He's dangerous enough to get the entire pack killed. Matthew knows that. But knowing doesn't make it any easier to keep his mind (and hands) off Arik. Surely everything he's feeling is a side effect of the spell...right?

It's not long before enemies of the pack start circling - including one intent on claiming Arik as his unwilling mate. If they have any hope of surviving, Arik and Matthew will need to work together. The First and Third Story are better but this also good. The Serie is the best i ve read so far.

Arek was just the right character for me! Tattooed longhaired shaman not to be toyed with. He has learned to either hide or run for his life if he can't get the upper hand of the werewolfs with his magic. So finding himself in Matthews arms and not wanting to run immediately throws him off his game.

The story is beautiful as it goes and I hope I can get more of Arek in book 3.

I loved the idea with the love spell, and how it got resolved. The part just after that was a bit unbelievable, but it was cute to see Nate and Ian again, and to have the plot with the Kimball pack properly resolved.
Overall I thought the story was less... explosive?... than the first in the series, but still fun to listen to.
The narrator once again does a great job, even with four characters who need individual voices.

I'll definitely listen to the third installment as well

Als vorab Info: Bei dieser Reihe ist es durchaus sinnvoll nach der Reihenfolge zu lesen, da die Bücher aufeinander aufbauen und es einen zeitlichen Handlungsstrang gibt.

Ich habe bereits das erste Band mit sehr viel Vergnügen gehört und die Fortsetzung hat mich nicht enttäuscht!

Nachdem ich die Inhaltsangabe gelesen habe, war ich zunächst wenig begeistert, da sich das ganze für mich sehr klischeehaft angehört hat (Love Spell is ja doch schon ein ziemlich ausgenutztes Thema.. ). Trotzdem habe ich mich auf das Buch eingelassen, weil ich nach dem ersten Band der Reihe einfach mehr haben wollte. Und ich kann nur sagen es hat sich gelohnt. Ich fand die Handlung bis zuletzt interessant und kreativ. Die Charakter kamen für mich glaubhaft rüber und ich habe mich gefreut dass auch Ian und Nate immer wieder eine Rolle gespielt haben.

Zudem hat Chris Chambers wie immer einen super Job abgeliefert, was dem Ganzen noch einen extra Bonuspunkt gibt.

Für mich ein durchaus empfehlenswerter Titel und ich werde mich auch noch auf das dritte Band einlassen! (Allerdings hoffe ich weiterhin, dass Dor und Charlie nochmal mehr in den Fokus rücken..)
