This one is a friends-to-lovers and the nerdy scientific part of it was amazing too.

Die Charaktere waren sehr sympathisch und der Schreibstil ähnlich wie bei den Vorgängern der Reihe, aber ich fand den Handlungsstrang persönlich einfach etwas schwach.
Zum einen, da es spannend los ging (mit einem für mich mutmaßlichen Versprechen zur Aufrechterhaltung von Spannung und etwas Action), aber dann leider die Anfangshandlung komplett in den Hintergrund gerückt ist. Zum anderen weil ich die ganze Handlung und die damit verbundenen Aktionen und Reaktionen der Charakter teilweise doch sehr schwer nachvollziehbar fand.
Trotzdem werde ich wohl der Reihe treu bleiben, sollte ein weiteres Band raus kommen, in der Hoffnung, dass dann wieder etwas mehr in den ursprünglichen Stil zurückgekehrt wird.

The thing that distracted me a bit is that he sometimes didnt make enought of a differen e between the two main men to immediatly know which one is which but thats mostly good otherwise.
If you want a Friends-to-Lovers story that feels realistic THIS IS A GOOD OPTION! People talk about their problems (as long as they are thinking and not..... other.... stuff) and it feels like this could happen for the most part. 💚

Ich liebe Newt und Cal! Sie sind großartig zu einander und es ist wie immer herrlich mit welchen kleinen Nebensätzen für den Leser klar wird, was eigentlich gerade wirklich passiert während es für die Protagonisten offenbar komplett im dunklen bleibt. herrlich! Das ist wirklich eine Supetkraft vom Autor!
Der Sprecher macht seine Sache toll. Es ist so schön entspannent ihm zu zu hören und er bekommt die verschiedenen Charaktere super auseinander definiert! Auch toll nicht nur für Fans der Serie!
