Über diesen Titel
Delphine has been fae-marked from birth, treated as a curse despite the fact the once treacherous fae haven't been sighted in decades—in fact, no one in Delph's village has so much as laid eyes on one of the folk in nearly a century.
Right up until a fae turns up on her doorstep, demanding Delph as down payment.
No sooner has she set foot in the fae realm, however, then she learns she's no mere collateral in a deal made with the lord that owns her family lands. She was selected for a reason, hunted down for a single purpose.
The fae courts are fading. The folk disappearing. Only four courts remain. Four princes determined to save their crumbling kingdoms.
And Delph . . . Delph may just hold the key to save them all.
But even as Delph learns to see past the feared glamour of the fae realm, she quickly learns the impossible position she's found herself in. The fae may not be the monsters she was led to believe, but in order to save them . . . she may have to become a monster herself.
Contains mature themes.

So it’s not really well written. Also, very predictable. Just not a lot of fun.
Then there’s the story itself. And the characters. That was a whole other „what the hell“-experience. The characters fall rather flat. The main character is a whiny pain. And it’s always super random and without really getting there, that she ends up „bumping it“ with the dude. Or in this case Princess, but I‘d rather call the princes annoying travel companions. It’s a bit cliché and just rough on your nerves.
The speakers voice is alright, but the way she sometimes really underlines the whines of the main character just really doesn’t help it.
As I‘m writing this, I have but one thought: This was such a wtf experience, that everyone should experience it themselves. You can’t really grasp how weird this book is just from this review. I heard about it on TikTok and was super curious. I was actually really looking forward to it. But it turns out, that this book was rather a disappointment.
Listen to it. Build your own opinion about it. :)
Well that was something….
