Yes, I'm a little late to the party, but the fifth book in the series is coming out next month, so now is the perfect time to binge-read the entire story.
The first book has already been adapted into a movie, and I might watch it at some point, but that can wait.
I still have three books to read before September 9th.
The beginning of the book was very slow, and I was afraid that it wouldn't be for me, but the more I read, the more captivated I became by the story.
Witches, vampires, demons, and other creatures all coexist in our modern world.
They live among us and experience their own lives in their own parallel world.
It is a complex and incredibly fascinating world, with many descriptions of places and people.
There are also many secrets and lies, and sometimes it's hard to discern what is real and what is an illusion.
The story is full of tension and suspense, and there's also a forbidden romance—a love story that shouldn't happen, but maybe it should?
And is everything the characters know and believe just a lie?
Oh man, this story is like wine—the longer you read, the better it gets.
It's incredibly exciting, action-packed, and dramatic.
This fantasy love story is so incredibly unusual, exciting, and enchanting.
I've just started the second book, and it's an explosion of emotions and feelings from the start.

Nachdem ich einige Folgen gesehen hatte, wollte ich mir die Bücher dazu einmal anschauen bzw. anhören.
Die Serie ist meiner Meinung nach sehr gut - hier wird inhaltlich das erste Buch wiedergegebnen.
Im Verhältnis zum Buch ist mir die Serie fast schon lieber, da diese die Handlung sehr gut wiedergibt aber auf die bisweilen doch sehr schnulzigen Stellen verzichtet. Dies ist natürlich absolut Geschmackssache.
Die Sprecherin finde ich auch sehr gut, aber mir sind männliche Sprecher irgendwie immer lieber.
Für Jennifer Ikeda spricht jedoch, dass Sie sich sehr viel Mühe gibt die verschiedenen Akzente der Personen wiederzugeben. Auch ist ihre Stimme nicht ganz so anstrengend wie es bei vielen anderen Sprecherinnen auf die Dauer der Fall ist.
Zur Geschichte bleibt eigentlich nur zu sagen, dass es sich hierbei um eine typische Fantasy-Vampir-Lovestory handelt, das nun um ein Zeitreiseelement erweitert wird. Es bleibt also spannend.

Die Geschichte ist witzig, romantisch, unterhaltsam, nicht zu kitschig (gerade so) und war genau was ich gerade gesucht habe.
Zugegeben, der Anfang war etwas zäh, der Einstieg in diese magische Welt voller Hexen, Vampire und Dämonen fällt nicht übertrieben einfach. Die Teile über Alchemie können regelrecht langweilig werden, was aber dennoch positiv zur Story beiträgt.
Die Autorin hat tatsächlich Alchemie studiert und lehrt auch darüber weswegen sie so Aspekte aufgreifen kann, die jemand anderes wohl nicht einmal kennt.
Eine all zu grobe Zusammenfassung könnte etwas nach Twilight klingen, aber das hier ist kein Vergleich. Obwohl man sich auch hier immer wieder wundert wie Schusselig die Hauptfigur doch sein kann. Ich würde unsere unfreiwillige Hexe nicht als hilflos oder dumm bezeichnen.
(Ich mag Twilight, aber Bella ist nunmal hilflos und dumm. - Sorry!)
Es ist jetzt leider auch schon ein paar Tage her, dass ich das Buch gehört habe, darum kann ich nicht viel mehr ins Detail gehen. Aber das Englisch ist klar verständlich und das Buch sehr gut gesprochen.
Aber ich habe mir nach diesem Buch sofort den zweiten Teil geholt und warte sehnsüchtig auf den dritten.
