I was laughing, crying and angry at times. This book evoked every feeling in me. I want to start the next one right now!

The only thing better, than the story, was the reading voice!

The Story had everything!

I love the first book and this one isn’t as bad either. Unfortunately, I kinda feel like the story was all over the place. A lot happened but everything was just somehow loosely connected. It felt like the author had great ideas for small plotlines or scenes or chapters but wasn’t really able to produce a whole body of work with a clear connected plotline.

Nevertheless, enjoyed it and maybe the next book will bring some clearance.

Narration was A+++ loved the unique voices and everything. Just loved it!!

Story all over the place

I am not opposed to smut in books, but this was so full if sex scenes that all felt the same that it began to be boring. I think the author tried to switch that up by including super unneccessary drama plots that had no real reason to be in the story and which were resolved after a couple of chapters. Also, the fights between the two main characters were often times very big and instead of me feeling the yearning for them to reunite, i felt like it was good for them to be apart. How often will Persephony doubt their relationship because he just does not talk to her, before leaving him? Those scenes just did not have the wished effect on me. Still the story is fast paced and mostly entertaining to read and the narrator is doing a great job. :)

Entertaining but not the best

… but the FMC was pretty annoying most of the time. The drama often felt unnecessary and made me think about quitting. However, the overall storyline made up for it and I needed to know how the story ends. So, besides the drama, it was a fun audiobook to listen to.

The narration is super good. Voices sound unique and Meg Sylvan doesn't shy away to raise her voice and our her emotions into it when breathing live into the lines.
