A great story - except for the history theory parts which are repetitive and partly unconvincing.
Sadly many parts of this audio book have been poorly edited. There are every 20 Minutes or so sentences or phrases repeated that have not been cut out.

It would have been nice, if the same reader stayed! Book 2, change of readers - a no go. Can't really listen to the audiobook anymore.

Change of readers ruined everything

Nothing needs to be said about War and Peace, it's a classic, a timeless work of literature, brilliantly written. The narration however is a little strange, mainly, because rather than the performers taking on different roles, or focusing on different plots, the narrator just changes, after the first book for example, changing from a soft spoken, formal, male voice to a stronger, slightly less formal female voice. A bit of a shock to be honest having to newly adjust after getting used to the first narrator, even if I expected a change at some point. Also, it has to be said that while this version is still the best one available on audible in my opinion, the performers do seem to struggle a bit at times, with names, places and also with understanding what the right tone is for the right dialogue.

How to spoil a perfectly good story. Voice actor lacking any hint of art. Dreadful. Strongly advise against this purchase and hope to find a better version. Pity really.
