I finally know, why this novel is really famous. It is really great. Lots of outstanding essays within. So much to think about. Really fantastic. And the reading of Luke Thompson is MAGNIFICENT 😍 He made listening to the long hours so attractive and enjoyable. I even searched if he did read other novels by Dostoevsky and Tolstoy. Luke is great 👌

Having heard from some people that this is THE greatest novel of all time, I decided to listen to it. The beginning is partially promissing, maybe up to the death of father Zosima it is bearable. But then it turns to a dredful boredom. Nothing that deep, to me- rather trite banalities.
