Ich habe keine Ahnung, warum hier so viele Hörer sich beschweren. Wenn ich Buch 5 höre, habe ich doch schon die ersten 4 gehört und kann erahnen, was mich erwartet. Die Geschichte ist von Buch zu Buch dunkler und grimmiger geworden. Jetzt ein Traumfinale mit Happy End für alle zu erwarten, ist kindisch. Das sind keine weichgespülten Jugendromane, das sind finstere Märchen für Leute, die aus Cinderella rausgewachsen sind. Ich finde die Geschichte und das Ende sehr stimmig und freue mich, dass ich diese 5 Bände jetzt in meiner Bibliothek habe. Bestimmt werde ich sie in ein paar Jahren noch mal mit viel Vergnügen hören.

Edit: Eben habe ich entdeckt, dass die Story von Will nicht mit Band 5 endet, sondern dass ein weiteres Buch bereits in 2 Wochen erscheint: "Wizard in Exile". Da macht diese Geschichte hier und das Ende natürlich noch mehr Sinn. Hab's gleich mal vorbestellt. :)

Too many listeners expected a clichee hollywood happy end and are dissappointed because of it.
This book, same as the ones before, breaks with stereotypes and standards, which in my opinion is a good thing.
This series is one you can remember.
Yes it has its lows, but not the 1 or 2 star ratings some beetle *** would give it because it does not meet their expectations.
Read or listen to yourself and make up your own mind.
Recommended.

Das durchgehend hochwertige Gesamtkonstrukt der Geschichte. Wo andere Titel in den Fortsetzungen an Spannung verlieren war hier die Gesamte Buchserie fesselnd und der Schluss hält eine trefflich abgerundetes Ende bereit. Hinreißend einleuchtender Weltenbau mit klar verständlicher allmählich wachsender Komplexität. Und die Humorvollen Szenen unterbrechen die steigende Spannung nicht, bringen stattdessen einen menschlichen Anstoß. Ich schreibe nicht oft eine Bewertung, aber diese Buchreihe will ich empfehlen!

No idea why everyone is so mad. I loved the ending. It was almost perfect in my opinion. I wouldn’t have liked a perfect ending where everything goes perfectly. When the book ended I felt such an intense wave of emotions you only feel after a great book. I loved it.

Idk what those ppl expected, but just bc they don’t get a fairy tale ending & obv didn’t pay enough attention to understand some of the characters developments they throw around 1 star reviews… laughable. It is not as strong as books 1-3 (as 4 was weaker already, too), but it’s a great book with a very very dark development - fitting for this story as it’s about power, its exploitation & the temptation that comes with it. Don’t listen to any reviews if you liked book 1-4 - I nearly didn’t listen to it bc of the reviews & it would’ve been a big mistake.

I've been too spoiled with narration on audible, it's been a while since I had an audiobook where the narrator forgot how they decided to pronounce a character's name
will it be selene or selane? we'll find out next time on "michael's vocal vacation"
random beeps in the audio and clearly re-recorded voice lines don't help either, but the latter have been there throughout the series so I guess that was expected

This is not your every-day Happy end! Yes the narrator wasnt on 100% with this last part but the story makes up for it!
Grief and a bit of pain is absolutely what most of the washed up comming-to-age bookseries' lack.

Give it a try and think about, what would be realistic in some of these situations.

only listen to complete the series. not sure what trauma the author had to work out of his system, but i swear the mc gets more stupid by the hour.

it felt like the author got bored of this series and just wanted to wrap up. So many things happened so quickly, things that always took much (maybe even too much) longer. Certain character developments and decisions also made no sense.
Not sure if i wanna give any of this authors other books a go...
