Über diesen Titel
Days and Tiers pass as Matt Liz and Aster leave Minkalla. But no matter how much they just want to relax and recover they have the ever present time-crunch of the path of ascension nipping at their heels. To compound issues, they are about to reach Tier 15. That means Aster needs to leave for the Bond Academy for at least 10 years. Can they get far enough ahead of the curve to manage, or will this roadblock cause the trio to stumble?
Don't miss Book 8 of this action-packed fantasy adventure that blends everything you love about LitRPG with Xianxia.
About the series: This is a mix between LitRPG and Xianxia. It's like a car that looks like a LitRPG with dungeons and skills, but the interior and engine are all Xianxia. It features a magic system and progression system that are logically and internally consistent, as well as realistic fight scenes and a rational MC.

Decades, centuries, and even millennia are thrown into the narrative without any meaningful exploration of their weight. The protagonist begins as a mortal, meaning that even a few decades should feel like a significant stretch of time. Yet, when he transitions into immortality, the psychological impact of this shift is barely addressed. The story glosses over how a character might mentally adapt to an existence where time no longer holds the same meaning.
Another major issue is the way the passage of time affects character development—or rather, how it fails to do so. By the end of the first book, the main characters are around 60 years old, yet their lives have been almost exclusively consumed by training. Despite spending decades in this environment, they never question their choices, their purpose, or the monotony of their existence. It seems unrealistic that after decades of seeing the same people and performing the same tasks daily, no one would experience boredom, existential doubt, or even minor conflicts. Instead, they continue on like sheep in a pasture, unquestioningly following the same routine.
This lack of realism is further reinforced when characters assess others. Despite having supposedly gained decades of life experience, their perspectives remain shallow. They do not reflect on their past decisions with the wisdom one would expect from someone who has lived through decades of change. Instead, their viewpoints are still heavily tied to childhood experiences, as if nothing significant happened between the ages of 20 and 60. This makes them feel strangely static and detached from the reality of time’s impact on personal growth.
The relationships between the main characters also suffer due to this poor handling of time. The interactions between them lack depth, complexity, and natural evolution. Even after knowing each other for over 40 years, they still behave like newly infatuated teenagers, with no real development in their dynamic. One would expect their conversations to mature, their differing backgrounds to create moments of reflection or conflict, and their long-term companionship to bring about new layers of understanding. However, none of this occurs. Their relationship remains stagnant, which only highlights the book’s failure to integrate the passage of time in a meaningful way.
A Universe of Potential, Undermined by a Shallow Sense of Time
