Über diesen Titel

An international business expert helps you understand and navigate cultural differences in this "brilliant guide to what all business leaders need to know right now" (Marshall Goldsmith, author of the New York Times and global bestseller What Got You Here Won't Get You There)

When it comes to communication styles, Americans precede anything negative with three nice comments; French, Dutch, Israelis, and Germans get straight to the point; Latin Americans and Asians are steeped in hierarchy; Scandinavians think the best boss is just one of the crowd. It's no surprise that when they try and talk to each other, chaos breaks out.

In The Culture Map, INSEAD professor Erin Meyer is your guide through this subtle, sometimes treacherous terrain in which people from starkly different backgrounds are expected to work harmoniously together. She provides a field-tested model for decoding how cultural differences impact international business, and combines a smart analytical framework with practical, actionable advice.

the book is fascinating! The points Dr. Meyer makes are so real and tangible! I lived in Dubai for many years and met people from all over the world🌎 it's not easy to communicate and even after learning what to say, or how to say things or behave, you might still cause a misunderstanding!

This book must be a part of school curriculum

This book is a fun and easy read for a not always very exciting topic.
Erin though explains nicely, and with lots of interesting stories, her famous culture map.

A good read for every travelling business man and master students.

The book highlights the fact that each culture has a different approach to business and meetings without going the extreme. the author uses words that refer to a "tendecy" e.g. tendency to be punctual.
The reader's voice is clear and understandable.

Awesome Book

Being Brazilian, having lived in China, and currently working for an American company in Germany, I loved this book and fully endorse Erin’s observations. I specially like her humorous examples and her effective way to describe differences without depreciating any culture. Highly recommended for those having to deal with the challenges of working in multi cultural environments.
