Ich hatte lange überlegt ob ich mir die Chroniken der Schattenjäger (The infernal devices ) auch als Hörbuch auf Englisch zulegen sollte, da die deutschen Hörbücher leider gekürzt waren und es mittlerweile die Hörbücher auch nicht mehr zu kaufen gibt, und die original Englischen Hörbücher immer einen anderen oder eine andere Sprecher/in haben....

Und was Soll ich Sagen....
es War definitiv die richtige Entscheidung!!!

Ich war wieder sofort in der Geschichte drin und hab mir auch gleich alle anderen Teile gekauft!!!


Die Geschichte rund um Tessa Gray, Will Herondale und Jem Carstairs in London 1878 hat mich schon damals wie heute einfach fesseln können und ich konnte gar nicht mehr genug bekommen.

Dieses Buch ist mit Abstand das Emotionalste in der Trilogie und mein absoluter Liebling!!!!

Die Gefühle kochen förmlich über ;
Freundschaft, Zusammenhalt , Verrat, verlust , Schmerz und Liebe....
Die letzen Kapitel haben mich regelmäßig verstört und der Epilog gab mir den Rest...😭🤧


Wer "Chroniken der Unterwelt" geliebt hat wird auch mit absoluter Sicherheit diese Geschichte Lieben.

I probably would have rated the story higher if I was 15. The story is rather OK, better than the narrator's voice!
Some parts are actually good, both as a story and as literature work... But then there are those cheesy parts which make it difficult to listen to. The narrator's voice and manner of reading is not anything like the wonderful narrator of the 1st book (by Jennifer Ehle), but it's also not awful like in the 2nd book. The voice is rather OK (if a bit boring), but I wish the narrator hadn't tried to sound like a girl when reading Tesa's words. It makes it sound as if someone is making fun of her!
I would have rated the story worse, but I imagine the cheesy PG (American style) teenage romance would sound less cheesy to a 15 year old. After all, it's not the author's fault that I am not the target demographic! :) I was so captured by the narration of the 1st book by Jennifer Ehle. Too bad she didn't narrate the rest of the trilogy.

I wish the narration was as good as the 1st book.

Ich war begeistert von dem Ende und habe den kompletten Epilog lang durchgängig geweint. Taschentücher bereithalten!

... and would do it again. Above my expectations. I love the way it talks about the London at that time and how it all fits into the shadow Hunter histories, filling in all the gaps that have remained open.

The story was so-so but the narration was terrible. The fake Welsh accent was cringe! The writer specifically states in the story that Will had lost most of his accent after 6 months of stay in London and only had a very slight welsh accent, so one can presume that after 6 years he has lost his welsh accent. But the narrator gives Will and Cecily this horrible horrible thick fake welsh accent. Words can't even begin to describe the cringe. I am glad the narrator doesn't have any other audio books.
