I enjoyed the review from an ethical, policy and societal aspect rather than just reviewing technology.

A different approach to Ai review

Wasn't too much of a fan of the narrator. I recently listened to some synthetic speech that was clearer. The narrator sometimes exaggerated points and having pauses that I deemed too long. Alas the topic is demanding and his calm and slow pace as well as his clear pronunciation are to be valued highly.

On the content itself, it is just an overview of a general adaption of AI and its consequences. The examples openly used are from around 2016-2018 keeping inline with what I've seen Schmidt doing in the past: explaining a state that is five years old. That might be due to the time it takes to see development and really understand the implications, or it might be a sort of catch up for all of us who are not on this years knowledge.

Either way, I don't think this represents the state of knowledge the authors have in 2021, but rather a reflection from 3-5 years ago. Might be to have a bigger picture, might be conscious omission. On the other hand this could be seen as an easy entry point into the discussion and a call for reflection. In that regard, this was a great book to listen to and I enjoyed the journey very much.

Für ein Kissinger Buch sehr unstrukturiert und viel "gelaber" - ich vermute, dass Buch selbst wurde zum Teil durch eine KI geschrieben?!
