I lobed everything about this book, the story and writing is excellent and the narration spot on.

Brilliant story wondefully narrated

Der 16-jährige Charlie kämpft mit sich, mit den Anforderungen der Schule , dem Mangel an Zuwendung seiner Eltern und den Alkoholproblemen seines Vaters. Doch sein Leben steht Kopf, als er in der Theater AG seiner Schule Fran kennenlernt und sich bis über die Ohren verliebt. Shakespeares Stück Romeo und Julia, in dem Fran Julia spielt und Charlie eine Nebenrolle wird zum Leitmotiv ihrer ersten großen Liebe - zwei junge Liebende - gemeinsam gegen den Rest der Welt, bis die Ereignisse sich überstürzen. Dieses Buch muss man gelesen - oder gehört haben - ich kenne nur eines, das ich noch mehr liebe - „One Day“ von David Nicholls.
