Some passages were so beautifully written that I had to get a copy of the book just to highlight them, so I could return to them and reread them in the future. I really enjoyed the different narrators’ voices, though I didn’t always catch everything they said because of their pronunciation. I listened to the audiobook while reading the physical book. The book unexpectedly helped me process a lot emotionally. Adichie has this way of putting things into words—things you’ve felt but couldn’t quite explain. It gives you a sense of clarity and agency, like she’s articulated something you’ve been carrying but didn’t have language for thereby empowering you.

Such a beautifully insightful book. I hope Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie stores another one soon. I loved the characters and how they developed retiring full circle to "I have always wanted to be known ❤️. Really beautifuly written

A masterpiece of it's own kind!

A novel that tells the stories of four individual African women with their own views and background and yet conveys an overarching story about humanity. I (male, white, and in my sixties) was intrigued by the author's capability to spellbind me. The audiobook edition is very well read, including two chapters by the author herself, which is a real bonus. Highly recommended!
