The storyline is good and was read really well but I feel like there is not enough suspense. There are some creepy stuff happening in this book but nothing that left me in awe. I had an idea quite early on who was guilty and though it was still exciting to listen to at the end, I have to admit I was a bit disappointed. I just expected so much more because of the way the book was described and because of the other book "Gone girl". My verdict, buy and read it if you're a fan but it's not one of the best books I have ever read.

Wenn man gone girl die zweite erwartet, könnte man natürlich enttäuscht rausgehen, aber ich für meinen Teil habe die Geschichte und den Aufbau sehr genossen. Es geht hier weniger darum einen spannenden Thriller zu erzählen als viel mehr Charakter-Studien von Kleinstädten wiederzugeben. Und das dann eben auf pervertierte Art und Weise. Wer gerne in menschliche Abgründe blickt wird dieses Buch sicher gerne hören.

This is my second book from Gillian Flynn and it's as brilliant as "Gone Girl". She knows how put goose bumps on her readers. Her stories are deliberate, like an extremly well planned project. The way she tells them make you think "it's frightening that people could be like that".
I hope she keeps going on like that.

Wow, I’m still trying to process what I’ve just listened to. I hadn’t been a fan of Gillian Flynn‘s Gone Girl, but was intrigued since I’ve started to watch the HBO show and liked it. The story is really disturbing but so well told - and narrated (the narrator also did The woman in the window by A.J. Finn - and her performance is amazing). I loved it! Wondering how anyone can come up with such a story?!

Sharp Objects wasn't as good as other Gillian Flynn novels. I was disturbed by all the sexualisation of little girls.
