I enjoyed this a lot! It's a very interesting, complex novel, combining mystery with family drama. I've read or listened to all of the author's novels, and they are all really good. She's very versatile and moves easily between different genres.

I've listened to several books read by this narrator (she's quite prolific), and with one exception I've always liked her performances. She did a very good job with this one, too.

I loved every second of it, gripping story, complex and mysterious. Lets you only know what you meed to know and then pulls you in. Awesome read.

Absolute pageturner

Finally a good book, where the plot is so well thought out, that the reader remains mesmerized until the last page. Also the story is set in a scene which has not been used a thousand times before.
Very very good story.

Es passiert nicht oft, dass ich ernsthaft in Betracht ziehe, ein Buch abzubrechen. Hier war es so. Mir ist ein Großteil der Erzählung völlig unklar, weil Vieles meiner Meinung nach nichts zum „Strom der Geschichte“ beigetragen hat. Aber vielleicht habe ich es auch nur nicht verstanden.

Langatmig und -weilig

Zu viele Perspektiven haben das Buch unnötig in die Länge gezogen. Das Ende kam mir auch enttäuschend vor. Es ist kein schlechtes Buch aber für mich nur 3 ⭐️ wert.
