Where Man Meets Magic and Machine....

The year is 2050. The power of magic and the creatures it brings have returned to the earth, and many of the ancient races have re-emerged. Elves, Orks, Mages, and lethal Dragons find a home in a world where mana, technology, and human flesh have melded into deadly urban predators. And the multinational mega-corporations that run the world hoard the only thing of real value - information.

For Sam Verner, living in the womb of the Renraku conglomerate was easy, until his sister disappeared and the façade of the corporate reality began to disintegrate. Now he wants out, but to "extract" himself he has to slide like a whisper through the deadly shadows the corporations cast, into a completely different world where his first wrong move may be his last...the world of Shadowrun.

I forgot how much I loved Shadowrun...!

Weder das Audiobuch, noch die Story sind überragend, aber wer ein Shadowrun Fan ist (oder es werden will) wird das ignorieren und das Buch von vorne bis hinten genießen. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Nicht perfekt, aber es ist Shadowrun

Read the Secrets of Power Trilogy 27 Years ago, when I started playing the Game and Loved it!! Can't wait to get my Hands on the next Part. I hope, there will be more of the great Books, I know from my Youth.... keep 'em coming.....please..?

Even better, than I remembered.

Well, it‘s a story i knew, a book I read.
Good story, one of the first from that alternate universe of shadows, intrigue and treachery.
Narrator does a good job to bring the charakters to life.
And it‘s a good intro into Shadowrun. Have fun with it. I did.

Very relatable story with various twists and insights into different aspects of the world. Excellent voice acting. However, the audio quality is somewhat lacking.
