This novel is a product of its time. Most of the descriptions, monologues and dialogues come of as cringe nowadays. The voice trying to deliver it in a mix of somewhere between Batman and Wolverine didn't help either.

Not one of Stackpoles best works.

It‘s a great story, and i have the book too.
The narrator does a good job impersonating the characters, yet the sound effects/overlays are too much for me to like it.

Die enthaltenenen Geschichten gehört neben "Weg in die Schatten" (leider noch kein Hörbuch) und der "Geheimisse der Macht"-Trilogie zu den wahren Shadowrun-Klassikern.
Der Sprecher ist okay, leider sind die Audioeffekte für den "Alten" und, ich glaub, einen Magier zuviel, so dass es schwierig ist, sie zu verstehen.

Echter Shadowrun-Klassiker mit schlechten Effekten

The antagonist struggles with his inner demon to be a kind and gentle, supportive member of the sprawl. While being almost killed in each episode and often only saved by his friends he tries to handle a relationship with a non runner girl.
For a Shadowrun novel Kid might have been the better main character.

the macho endfight was a bit unnessecary.

bonus points for the effort of some of the sound effects.
just for the old one it was a bit too much.
