Über diesen Titel

Caitlin Strange's adventures continue. The former college student with the powers of a goddes and her motley band of heroes and immortals travel to the lands of the Tenochca, ruled by bloodthirsty Aztec gods. They must brave the Forbidden Jungle, a massive Labyrinth holding the treasures of the Tenochca. But the gods control the Labyrinth, and they have twisted normal dungeon rules to ensure no thief survives long enough to claim their loot.

This book contains plenty of action, GameLit elements, no harem or adult content. Some PG-13 language.

This story is pretty much one big excuse to make the protagonists friends as strong as the protagonist. Most of this book can be summarized with:"They went into dungeon, fought much, found many treasures and the friends of the protagonist catched up to the protagonist in power."
Additionally this story compounds a problem that existed before in the series wich is that seemingly everybody can bend or even somewhat break the rules except the protagonist, everytime she tries to do something even slightly stretching the rules she gets slapped down right away.

The story lost me when the somewhat boyfriend of the protagonist soulbonds to an item out of envy fully knowing this was one of only 2 items the protagonist wanted from the whole mountain of loot they got and he then becomes a diety right away while the protagonist had to go through hell over the span of 2 1/2 books just to get there.
Also it really bugs me how a chaos overgod (maker) is not thrilled by making the protagonist so strong that it throws the whole thing into chaos.

Well I see the author wants this story to go in a direction that doesn't make sense in my opinion and is willing to throw coherent and believeable storytelling out of the window to achieve it.
So I'm done with this series.

nope, you lost me
