At first, I would like to say, that the overall performance of the Speakers and the Quality of the Story are awesome. Now you might ask then why are you only giving 4/5.... well it's because of the second (female speaker) and the structure of how both of the Speakers are handling the telling of the story. I would like to say at this point, that i don't have something against the female speaker, her way of speaking the characters and the quality are great BUT, and that is a big BUT, it really gets me out of the Story if one Speaker reads one or more chapters, and you slowly identify the Character by his voice and his overall Tune, and then They Switch and the Characters you thought you knew by the voice of the First Speaker(Male Speaker) now sound totaly different. Sadly, i have to say that is a big point of complaint for me. Additional, i really dislike the way how the Female Speaker Sounds when she is telling the Story in Arthur's voice. If i could give you Advice how you could fix that issue (at least for me) would be to let the female Speaker, speak all Female Characters for the coming books and divide the Spoken characters by gender, THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!! Anyway, thanks for this audiobook!!!!!

An awsome addition to the Masterpiece

Die Sprecherin zeigt wie gut die anderen sind, leider eine Fehlbesetzung. Sie kann vielleicht Kindern Bücher vorlesen aber die Emotionen der Chraktere werden derart verzerrt wiedergegeben das es schwer fällt zuzuhören. Bestes Beispiel ist der Epilog, die Trauer und der Schmerz passt so überhaupt nicht zum begeisterten Vorlesen eines Pornos. Sehr sehr schade. Hoffentlich wird der Fehler nicht wiederholt.

Obviously people will compare the two, and I have two things to say

1.
It's natural to prefer the voice that has been narrating the book since Book 1 (cumulative hours of what, 150-200?)
but...

2.
Maybe I'm biased because I only started listening to the story via audio book from Book 8, but I actually prefer Evans when it comes to the female character's POV
I do have to agree with the general critisism in the comments, that her male character voice could need some improvement, but people make it seem worse than it is, probably because the GOAT Baldree is doing such a phenomenal job

So just to get straight to the point. Story is really good like the books before this one, no comment.

Why only 3 stars in voice acting ? well there are 2 VA´s in this book and to be honest Elizabeth Evans cant hold a candle to Travis. All her male Characters sound somewhat the same. Not only that but who thought it was a good idea to make each VA read a whole chapter and then switch ? (most of the time its at least 2-3 chapters). You have the same characters with different voices in the same book. I would have understood if the female characters would have been spoken by Elizabeth and vice versa for Travis. Overall for me its really jarring when i listen to Travis and in the next chapter you have the, in comparison, bad voice acting of Elizabeth. You just cant compare the two in terms of quality, so the disconnect is really bad.

Her ghasp at the end of every sentence is incredibly annoying, very breathy and bothersome way of speaking, hope she does not return as her way of narration doesn’t fit the story at all

Evans as narrator is unfitting

Ngl its mean to compare her to Travis, i have no idea how he has that range in voices, but him reading is big part of why i like the series so much. I think its confusing to have female charakters with a different voice now and also I feel like she is an 8 year old girl mimicking her dads voice. I like her reading the female characters but the male characters are just not good.

Female reader butchers the male characters

Travis is an insanely talented narrator and I truly love is voice. I never new how good he was until he shared this narration. It might not be fair to compare her to Travis but she is just so overdramatic for every single situation. They could have the biggest celebration and she would still sound like she is almost crying. She has good voices but her emotional spectrum is just way too exaggerated. I usually don’t shit on performances like that but now I have to skip every female POV to still enjoy this audiobook. Travis would get 5 stars if he did it alone but I can’t give her more than 1

If only Travis had done jt alone
