The story of healing, self love, womanhood, love and friendship. I was tired of YA romantasies and teenage heroines and this book delivered. Mature, brave and sensitive Edith as a main character, who is essentially not anyone special, not exceptionally beautiful, not exceptionally talented, not a princess, nor a warrior, a simple woman who is very relatable in one way or another. I really did enjoy the whole story. I think the book has a similar vibe as Kingfisher's Saints of steel series, even though this story is a tad more serious.
