Das Hörbuch war unterhaltsam, sicher nicht tief schürfend, aber eine ungewöhnliche Geschichte. Allein der Ton der Sprecherin war sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig für mich.

I love A. C.s books. So I was very exited about this one. But I did not like it as much as her other ones I read. the story lost itself many Times in side Plots with other characters. the MCs did not have this forced proximity Thing going on. So they each spent much time doing Things with other people and have conversations with other people, so there was not as much interaction as i liked. plus there is uncharacteristically much miscommunication that arent typical for A.C books. or So I thought bc I liked her other books specifically because she abstains from this trope. finally the MCs annoyed me a lot. the female MC is so naive it bordered on stupid. she Almost was like a child:. naive, acting on impulses with little sense. her character made maybe sense given her background and upbringing but still....she was not the type of heroine I like to read about. the male character also annoyed me with his ongoing suspicion that had no ground and which he could have clarified with little effort. and then his grovel on the other hand went overboard. he was brought so low, so publically. it left a Bad Taste. In my opinion not her best work.
