A Warhammer 40,000 audio drama boxed set.

The galaxy has changed. The Imperium is divided, and a primarch has returned - and the Ecclesiarchy, the great Imperial church - is close to civil war. Only Saint Celestine -with the aid of Inquisitor Greyfax - can stand in the way of this disaster.

Listen to it because

Two of the biggest heroes of the Dark Imperium - Saint Celestine and Inquisitor Greyfax - join forces to stop one of the most important Imperial organisations from falling into civil war in an epic four-part audio saga starring none other than Catherine Tate!

The story

During the turbulent Reign of Blood, a great schism in the Imperial Ecclesiarchy threatened all of Terra and promised a darkness to rival the terrors of Old Night. Fell times have come again to the Imperium, and a War of Faith appears inevitable. Standing in the way of catastrophe is Celestine, the Living Saint and one of the greatest heroes of the age. Only she can reunite the warring factions of the Ecclesiarchy and prevent a second Reign of Blood. Together with the Inquisitor Greyfax, Celestine and her allies must hunt across the shrineworlds of the Imperium and beyond to root out the evil behind the schism and burn it out with righteous, cleansing flame.

Written by Gav Thorpe.

Performed by Cliff Chapman, Steve Conlin, Andrew Fettes, Matthew Hunt, Toby Longworth, Carla Mendonca, Richard Reed, David Sibley, Ramon Tikaram and Jo Woodcock, with Emma Gregory as Saint Celestine and Catherine Tate as Inquisitor Greyfax.

This is the best Warhammer audiodrama i have heard yet. Most would praise Catherine Tate as Greyfax but personally i'm a huge fan of Emma Gregory as Celestine. The amount of pathos and passion she puts into her speeches as well as the sheer power of her voice left me awestruck and sent shivers down my spine. Best female performer i have ever heard, at least for this kind of character. The story itself is pretty nice, lots of twists and epicness. The production quality is also fairly high in terms of sound effects and ambience. Only the music i found to be a bit lacking in some places. A more orchestral score would have heloed tremendously. Overall i definitely recommend this play.

It’s was the first Audible I have ever listened to after listening to a sprach from Calestine on instagram and I must say it was definitely worth the money. With the great sound effects that helped to immerse yourself into the story and the great voices actors especially Emma Gregory as some people already mentioned before.

Great voice-acting, decent story with well-established characters.solid work, though not necrssarily a „must hear“

Pretty entertaining

I love how the Gav Thorpe plays with the whole concept of faith and miracles in this book. Emma Gregory pulled off the most powerful speech I've ever heard. Her acting and the acting of everyone else was amazing.

The overall story was not the most innovative one but still tense and well paced.

Description says 5+ hours but the last chapter/hour is just interviews with the autor and voice actors. I still don't regret buying it for a second.

Good story, great characters, incredible acting

The story itself feels like a shorten rehash of the "Reign of Blood" but without the epicness.

But what's really missing and in my opinion the biggest problem with this audiobook is a narrator that would introduce listeners too scenes or (in typical audio-drama fashion) more explanatory dialogue or monologue by the characters themself about their surroundings and the enviroment.

Not bad but room for improvement
