reliably the best books. The characters are well developed and you really get under their skin. I find her books refreshingly uncringy.

Ich bin ein großer Fan von Ali Hazelwood und hatte mich sehr auf dieses Buch gefreut. Ich mag auch wie jedes Mal den Schreibstil. Prinzipiell gefallen mir auch die beiden Hauptcharaktere dieses Mal. Leider packt mich die Geschichte trotzdem nicht - alle Figuren bleiben irgendwie blass. Ich habe darüber sinniert, woran das liegt, und mir kommt es so vor, als ob dieses Mal zu viele Facetten der Charaktere erklärt oder beschrieben werden. Ich mag es lieber, wenn das Verhalten der Charaktere in verschiedenen Situationen für sich spricht und man sich als Leser selbst ein Bild macht. Das fühlt sich für mich authentischer an. Es gibt auch nur die eine recht einfache Handlung ohne allzu viele Wendungen. Die Nebenfiguren wirken eher wie Staffage. Es sind außerdem dieses Mal sehr viele Sexszenen - vielleicht bleibt deshalb auch zu wenig Zeit für die Story.

Der männliche Part ist super gelesen, aber der weibliche Part ist eine Katastrophe und zerstört meiner Meinung nach auch den Charakter von Rue. Emotionslos und monoton vorgelesen.
Hat mir leider überhaupt nicht gefallen.
