It's absolutely expected that some disasters happen, but when one after the other happen with no downtime in between the story loses its believeability very fast.
Also the way the tribe starts to distrust the core isn't natural and much too extreme, the core had one mission where one person got badly injured and then captured by another faction, that's a situation the tribe must have experienced before, so it makes no sense how badly they react to it now.
