Über diesen Titel
Ten million active players. One Game Master.
Infinite Worlds is the most popular VRMMORPG on the market. Its maps are so vast, developer Hard Rock Data utilizes a network of highly advanced artificial intelligences to control it. But it’s not without problems.
That’s why Game Masters like Jeff Driscoll have jobs. The downside? He’s not allowed to play the game. Something about conflicts of interest and favoritism.
His very boring and tedious job is to help players deal with the occasional bug that slips through the cracks and ensure they enjoy their time playing enough to give a five-star rating. It’s a gig. It pays the bills.
However, when the AIs unexpectedly issue a rogue patch, the game becomes a buggy mess, and Jeff’s role radically changes. He finds himself as the only Game Master around, dealing with more problems than he can handle. It’s up to Jeff to return Infinite Worlds to normalcy...but will the AIs let him?
Manufacturing Magic is a unique spin on the LitRPG genre, not just providing the perspective of the players but also of one of those mystical, magical, all-powerful GMs we all dream of being. Perfect for fans of Luke Chmilenko, Dakota Krout, and Shemer Kuznits.

It's a solid story. Maybe in the beginning a bit too much second hand cringing, seeing how the game company treats Jeff and how Jeff lets them treat him. No doubt - working in customer service sucks. But the story doesn't only revolve around Jeff, and in the end it all tied nicely together. It's a good story to listen to when you don't want to think too much.
Four points because yes, there are better stories out there, but I don't regret listening to this one and look forward to the next book by the authors. Nick Podehl is of course good as allways.
Solid

Smiled and laughed.
But there's some plot holes that bug me ^^.
Like how bad the financial site of the vrmmorpg is ... no one would continue that.
They could just use it as fancy meeting software or vacation stuff.
Heck a bit of the stuff sounds more like a badly managed themepark mmorpg of 2013, then a supreme vrmmorpg that has been running for sometime (but still newish).
Outside of that. I find no faults.
Its Story heavy, which i like.
Its makeing fun of hardcore raider guilds, which i like to make fun of.
Its hateing on cheaters, oh god how i hate cheaters xD.
The characters have charm and are developeing overtime. Atleast the more important ones ^^.
I am excited for the next one. Hopefully princ. tom. will do some funky stuff. Now that his little test run went well.
And i hope that Jeff gets to have more fun ^^.
Good, but...
