Renee Raudman does an excellent job reading this book, however I found it a little hard to follow like "who is this person again" and "what did I miss, why has this action suddenly started"?
The story shifts very quickly and I often felt a bit confused,as if I did miss out a scene? I have listened to lots of stories of the same genre and don't usually have that issue.

It's a very action loaded story and Kate is an interesting character, not quite your usual "I am an innocent girl who needs to discover her magic" story but a "I'm a broke loner with a big heart and lots of oompf" which is nice for a change 👍🏼

Wie schon beim ersten Hörbuch geschrieben: super Story, aber ich habe Probleme mit der Sprecherin. Sie ist besser geworden, wenn sie Kates Teile spricht, jedoch nach wie vor… Der Ton und die Stimmlage ist nicht passend. Vorne weg, dass ständige Knurren von Curran… Aber: es ist so ok, dass man weiterhören kann…. Nur schade

I like the books, but could hardly stand to listen to the speaker. She is okay for low-key scenes, but every time the book describes anything remotely action-like, she sounds as if she is about to either vomit or climax. This goes on in about a third of the recording. Please find more ways to express excitement.
