I saved one star as a motivation for an other 3 body problem to come, and because one story felt to me a little bit like propaganda, but it was surely my own impression.

Great Stories from my favorite Author

This collection of stories does not come close to the quality of the Three-Body Trilogy for me. The 2001 story "Full Spectrum Barrage Jamming," which is about the evil NATO invading Russia, is almost unbearable to listen to 20 years later during the Ukraine War. I personally do not like the narrator either; I find it difficult and tiring to listen to him.

I basically concur with Volker U, very weak in comparison with the three-body problem. The characters are often just pure plot devices without any depth. The story about the NATO invading Russia and heroic Russians sacrificing themselves makes one sick if read after 2022 images from Bucha. The author even managed an oblique reference to 9 dash line, probably to make CCP happy
