Through vivid stories of the experiences of their patients (both adults and children), Drs. Hallowell and Ratey show the varied forms ADD takes - from the hyperactive search for high stimulation to the floating inattention of daydreaming - and the transforming impact of precise diagnosis and treatment.

    Helpful Reading

The tone of this book is quite enthusiastic which, in a way, seems to be befitting for an ailment that is predominantly american. It also gives hope to all those who are in a situation that makes them realise that ADHD is real. In many anecdotes we are shown glimpses of the different faces of ADHD and we are told - again and again - that there is help.
