tl;dr: My take-home message:
work out my ADHD brain like I work out my body. Establish a training routine to train my impulsiveness, emotional resilience, ability to focus, and many more using the exercises of this book.

I've been listening to and working through many self-development books over the last two to three years, with *Atomic Habits*, *Deep Work*, and *Indistractable* being my favorites. Additionally, I've been attending an ADHD support group since August 2023, which has grown to 50–60 members, and I now lead it. 2024 was clearly dominated by all kinds of media, including multiple books about ADHD. What I love about this book is its practicality and the realistic perspective of its author, Phil Boissière, who has ADHD himself.

He makes it clear that there are no shortcuts to managing ADHD. Instead, he delves into mental, emotional, and physical exercises as well as nutrition, therapy, medication and the importance of routines for all major symptoms of the ADHD brain. He showcases his vast experience with personal anecdotes, examples, common traps, symptom-targeted solutions and detailed, step-by-step instructions (like which lines to write on in a notebook) that make it nearly impossible for us ADHDers to fall victim to our executive-dysfunctional brains.

I will listen to it again at least one more time to work through all of his exercises. One huge inspiration struck me already: work out my ADHD brain like I work out my body. Establish a training routine to train my impulsiveness, emotional resilience, ability to focus, and many more.

A true masterpiece that I will recommend to my community.
