it gets better and better
cant wait to read how this superb story comes to its conclusion, how the sun eater gets his name

Back to captivating.
honestly, I've been a fan of the sun eater series for some time. However, the last two books just kinda knocked the wind out of the protagonist. The abuse and trauma he suffered, and the lack of growth in his powers and lack of drive to change or improve gave him less agency than I had hoped. I started to get disconnected from Hadrian, this book finally rekindled most, if not; all of my captivation for his journey.
