Good fantasy world building, and I love when the book just tells a story and the reader slowly discovers the world and it’s rules as the story progresses.
The creatures seem well thought out, and the story is in itself gripping and action filled enough.

But… I found the end unsatisfying, as the second half of the book is missing / this one is basically a cliffhanger, even if not a major one. The relationship between the two main characters, while well reasoned and set within the laws of that world left a really bad taste.

I did not expect to find what I did, with this new trilogy. It is so interesting and I love learning about the world and magic system. And overall I am a fan of supernatural beings living amongst humans. Getting to know these characters was so much fun. The emotions did run deep with this one.

Das Buch hat mich leider nicht begeistert mit der Sprecherin.
Die Protagonistin ist grade einmal 20, und man wird direkt zu Beginn in die Story geworfen, es ist schwer irgendwie das ganze zu verstehen wer was kann wer was ist, wenn man keine Hintergrundinfos hat. Für Buch 1 , ist mir das etwas zu komplex zum zwischendurch lesen/hören.

Wer allerdings auf Triller+Fantasy und Supernatural Stuff steht, ist hier sicher willkommen.
Die Sprecherin ist recht jung in der Stimme, passend zur Hauptdarstellerin, was ebenfalls nichts für mich ist.
Die Betonungen und so haben mich jetzt auch nicht vom Hocker geholt / gefesselt.
Habe das Buch nach über 1 h also beendet .
