I like the voice actress a lot, that’s why I chose the book. It has a good storyline, probably could be deeper and the main character could be a bit cleverer but it was captivating and exciting in some parts.

entertaining story and a pleasant fitting voice. In the beginning I feared that the mc would be kinda annoying but I think she is great while keeping a kinda naive youthfulness throughout tho that a bit dense

This was a solid YA finding yourself trope book. The romance felt a bit forced and unnecessary, but I did like the MMC. Unfortunately, Kira often feels TSTL. That said, she's a very believable 19 year old, and she is persistent and intelligent and does have good thoughts and reasoning, she just doesn't really hold her ground often enough. Maybe this will be her growth for the series.

The story is a paranormal urban fantasy where the FMC has to solve the mystery of what's happened to her aunt, who predictably kept her in the dark about all the most important things in her life. I deducted a star because the book did one of the things I really hate in a series, which is not <SPOILER>resolving the instigating mystery for this book<SPOILER>.

I'm on the fence about finishing the series because I'm not feeling youth coming of age books right now, especially romances with sub-20 year old heroines. If you don't mind that, then it's a pretty solid book and the audiobook is well done.
