Masters ist ein guter Leser und bringt ein bisschen Schauspiel mit rein. Ein tolles Buch und gut gelesen!

Ich bin sowieso sofort nach den ersten Zeilen von „Storm Front“ begeistert von Jim Butchers Fähigkeiten gewesen, aber „Dead Beat“ ist bei weitem sein bestes Schriftstück, wenn du mich fragst! James Masters ist als Vorleser und begabter Sprecher einfach nicht zu toppen! Absolut lesens- und hörenswert!!!

Die Geschichte ist unterhaltsam und wer Harry Dresden kennt, weiß, was er bekommt. Der Sprecher bringt die Geschichte zum Leben und spricht so deutlich, dass ich ihn auch als nicht Muttersprachler super verstehen konnte.

I thought my favourite book by Jim Butcher in the Dresden Files series was Summer Night, book 4, then came the big family reveal in book 6 and I was hooked again!

In this book number 7 Dresden consciously takes responsibility for his friends and surrounding (yes, of course he has done that earlier as well, but there has been a build-up in the way the character and the author talk about it) and is starting to scrape the surface of his unholy superpowers. Very exciting stuff. The plot twist is again about the end of the world and, believe it or not, butcher still manages to make it feel new despite his last books on old Harry.

A need to read, because our favourite hero is continuing to grow up and in this book starting to climb the ladder of power.
