A most fun ride with loveable and absolutely hilarious characters. Demons, angels, witches, a kickass aunt, a rug and a ghost. You can't really have a good story without a ghost.

I loved this one. It had me giggling and laughing out loud, and I fell in love with the characters.
From a shy recluse main character to angels, demons, a talking deer, a pirate, a ninja, an old grand aunt who has a no fucks given, but give me booze attitude this one has it all. And somehow it works! perfectly well narrated this was fun all around.

I needed some time to understand that there are no breaks e.g. a short pause between scenes. So, I was a bit confused about the logic of things happening. If you understand this no-pause thing, and get used to the different voices the reader uses (with quite some variety) for the different characters, this gets a lot easier to understand.
The story was interesting, but it felt a bit off to me due to some not unsubstantial amounts of violence thrown in. Maybe not unusually much, if you are into thrillers, but this was at least too much in quantity and "quality" for my taste, even though the author kind of skirts around it. The book was kept interesting enough for me to hear it till the end, but I don't go looking for another one from this author.
