Rose Well Holiday Park needs a hero. This once shining icon of the Great British Holiday Camp is dying, and the last residents are more interested in preparing for a zombie apocalypse or fighting off imaginary UFOs than playing crazy golf or bingo. In addition, a foreign bottled water company is attempting to force a sale so they can seize the last asset of Rose Well Park, the Rose Well Spring. What Rose Well Park could probably do without is a hero whose belief in a better tomorrow far outweighs any of his past achievements. But William Fox is all they have. Armed with nothing more than an undying sense of optimism and a box of books about alien conspiracies, he slowly draws up his plans to make Rose Well Park famous.

UFOs😀

This is my favourite book of David Luddington so far, - and I have nearly read all of his books.
It is a true masterpiece!

The plot: Some likable characters are brought together by fate in Cornwall, in a holiday park, that has seen better days, - but also far worse, which have left a lasting impression.
And of course they have nothing less in common than the goal of saving this little paradise, which seems to be a desperate attempt.
Through twists and turns the tension becomes unbearable when everything is getting out of hand and culminating in a huge mess…

David Luddington has just a wonderful sense of humour, which shines through in every chapter and often made me laugh out loud.

Plus: The performance by Nigel Planer is absolutely amazing! He really brings the characters to life and I couldn’t stop listening.

Highly recommended.
