Saramago ist ein überbewerteter Autor. Dieses Buch ist auf nicht wenigen Seiten einfach langweilig. Darüber hinaus ist es stellenweise durchaus empfehlenswert. Anhören: ja – aber ich hätte es nicht gelesen

Habe den Film gesehen und dann das Hörbuch gehört. Im Buch wird das ganze Elend noch viel deutlicher. Man sollte offen sein für die ein oder andere philosophische Diskussion ;)

Beeindruckende Story

the story is thought provoking, heart breaking, not fast paced but still thrilling. the writing is very easy to listen to, while being obviously greatly skilled.

the narrator'a style wasn't entirely to my liking, but i wouldn't know how to explain - also that might just be a matter of taste
audio quality mostly good, some parts sounded weirdly like pasted in from a different source
