Ich hoffe, dass dieses Buch wie Der Name der Rose auch verfilmt wird. Das wäre ein doppelter Genuss!

Eine tolle Geschichte über die Kraft von Mythen. Baudolino erzählt und es wird wahr. Er täuscht sich und andere, aber auf so herzensgute Weise, dass man ihm nicht böse sein kann.

Und wiedermal zeigt Eco sein breites Wissen zur antiken und mittelalterlichen Theologie und Geschichte (wie immer bei Eco hilft es, wenn man hier etwas Grundwissen mitbringt, sonst wird es schnell unübersichtlich). Geschickt flicht er die grosse Ideen und Diskussionen der Vergangenheit in seine ganz eigene Historie ein (z.B. zur Trinität oder der philosophischen Bedeutung des Vakuums).
