The story is no doubt great SciFi. But the narrator/producer doesnt care about the listener. Often senteces start so loud and end so quiet that one half is impossible to make out. There is no relevant pause between changes if scenes/paragraphes, You only realise that the scene is on a different planet two sentences into a paragraph when a name is mentioned that you heard before. I stop listening and will read the actual book.

Great story, miserable performance

Eine spannende Geschichte in einem sehr interessanten Universum und realistischen Charakteren. Die Geschichte entwicklet sich langsam, also nichts für Ungeduldige. Trotzdem oder gerade deshalb wird es sehr spannend und treibt zum Weiterhören. Die Auflösung ist zwar so monumental wie zuvor angedeutet, schafft es in der Darstellung aber leider nicht so richtig mitzureißen. (Daher nur 4 Sterne.)

Der gute englische Sprecher gibt jedem Charakter eine individuelle Stimme. Aufgrund der überzeugend gesprochenen Akzente jedoch für nicht Muttersprachler zuerst gewöhnungsbedürftig.

drab, inconsistent volume and bad attempts at accents. I have read these books in the past and wanted to re"read" them in audiobook form but i simply cant get used to the narration. It's one of the worst i have so far had. Weirdly enough the other really terrible narrations i have had are also both books by this author. Not sure if he lets his neighbors have a go at it or something... Real shame. Hope this gets a renarration at some point. i'd be up for that.

Eigentlich war das Buch ganz gut, aber es wäre besser gewesen, hätte man es auf die Hälfte gekürzt.
Ausserdem ist der Sprecher irritierend, er versucht die Charaktere mit Akzenten voneinander zu unterscheiden, aber durch die häufigen abrupten Schauplatzwechsel musste ich trotzdem oft zurückspulen weil ich zuspät gemerkt habe dass hier plötzlich zwei komplett andere Personen miteinander sprechen als vorher.

Ich habe mich noch nicht entschieden ob ich die Reihe weiter verfolge, oder am Ende nur eine Zusammenfassung lese.

Warum nur muss John Lee jeden Satz laut beginnen, um dann am Ende immer leiser zu werden? Das ist unhörbar, insbesondere wenn man unterwegs ist und Außengeräusche hinzu kommen. Schlecht!!
